Greetings to the Lord’s day! I thank God I have lived another week. A dear friend died this week. He was the song leader at the Church I attended for years. His legacy leaves memories of songs of comfort at funerals, songs of joy reflecting a Christian life, songs of praise, and leadership for the choir. Although he had a profession, he will be remembered as a Song Leader by many. In the Bible it states to Enter into his Gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise. Jimmy Jackson entered into the gates of Heaven this week, and I am sure he was singing.
My summary of the past week includes the internalized spirit of Courage to keep me focused. My fill-up fuel for my body, mind and soul is to drink a Cup of Courage each day. It isn’t a tangible drink but the acceptance that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Did I accomplish all the goals for this past week? No. However, I did complete more by being focused. Prescription for this week is to drink a Cup of Courage each hour that I am awake. What are the ingredients for a Cup of Courage?
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
My recipe for a Cup of Courage this week is to hourly take time to reflect and meditate in the law of the Lord!
Wow! Look at the promise in the verse that follows. Drinking from this cup I can look forward to prosperity, good health and leaving behind a good name.
Blessings and Love to all,
Molinda
