We viewed George Bernard Shaw’s Writing Shed.
Once my little house is completed perhaps I should build a computer shed!

With the year 2012 coming to an end, I want to be sure to share the resources that have inspired, taught and blessed me this year.
I am an avid student of Michael Hyatt and Ray Edwards.
Ray is a miraculous blessing for me as he is my Son, my mentor, prayer partner and Teacher! Read his book, Writing Riches to learn how to master your financial destiny. I am sure my writing doesn’t reflect that I am a perfect student. I am a work in progress!
Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World touched my soul. Read it!
When you are inspired to say or write something that will benefit others, it’s amazing how noisy the world becomes. Actually, I think it has always been that way, I just wasn’t conscious of the distraction until I read the book!
Get a Platform for your life and work. Build on a solid foundation. We will address the importance of a foundation as related to the little house and to our spiritual growth in the very near future.
The next few days in this year allows me to pull the pieces of my blog together, much as a seamstress would join the pieces to complete a garment.
In February I will be doing a workshop for How To Build your Little House from the foundation up!
In the meantime, think about where your feet are planted at this moment. This is your present foundation in the world. Do you feel secure?
Sunday was a day to rest and worship when I was growing up. Now, it seems very few people can honor one day in silence and rest.
For the six days God instructed us to work, a me day should be included. That day is the day you take care of all personal business and shopping, everything that isn’t work to produce an income.
It is my centered intention to change my lifestyle to give one day to God, completely without focus on what I consider to be pressing agenda.
Are you willing to dedicate one day to God?
Love to all my readers….
One of my best friends just bought a little building. With a lot of work that she did, and some that was contracted, it converted into a beautiful functional sewing room.
Also, it includes a computer corner. Shirley, the owner is an amazing woman, a breast cancer survivor, hair stylist, who sews, does crafts and is in process of writing a book. After the holidays we will be completing an interview with her.
In the meantime, enjoy this view of a finished room inside the little building!
She did the insulation, and stapled some of the finish panels to the walls. It’s easy to heat, has high speed internet and a little loft area! All of this was completed on a nifty little budget.
It’s a preview of what a corner of mine may look like…………..Do you like it?
It’s Christmas Season! I am filled with memories of Christmas past. Turn on your imagination and let’s visit my Great Grandmothers, Aunt Josie ‘s house in the woods in Clay County, Kentucky. Here we go:
wash on Monday
iron on Tuesday
mend on Wednesday
churn on Thursday
clean on Friday
bake on Saturday
rest on Sunday
list from Little House in the Big Woods, a children’s classic story that began in 1871. It so reminds me of Aunt Josie’s home and her era.
Of course, there is home made jelly on the ledge of the wood stove in the kitchen!
Yummy memories!
Thanks for joining me. What are your memories of Christmas past?
For months we have talked about plans, visited websites and posted pictures of different dwellings.
My plans are to convert the storage building to a residence. Can I do this?
I can certainly try. Since I haven’t completed one, I don’t know all of the obstacles I will encounter. It will be a learning process!
I wish someone were living who could share with me what my Great Grandmother Aunt Josie felt and thought when she assisted in the delivery of the first baby
My tiny house isn’t the first one. The concept of smaller housing, returning to basics grows each day. Becoming debt free also grows each day. Dave Ramsey is a leader in this field.
I want to be your leader in the little housing market. Are you willing to consider the idea?
My most difficult choices are to decide what to keep. Yesterday, they delivered two pods to a storage building in Maynardville, Tennessee.
I feel a bit sad when I think of all the things I have given away or sold.
Reality check: I still have too much to fit into the little house. While I am deciding where home is really going to be, I need to do a plan for placing furniture and items inside the house. That will be fun to share with you.
This is it. I just have to see if the owner wants to sell. It fits the description.
Here is a little house that has been home to someone. it even has furniture stacked to the ceiling inside. In the back yard, there are lots of old cars, so I know someone worked here!
Ok, before my family faints, it really isn’t my little house, but a cute thought.
