I have a long drive from Sevierville, Tennessee to Lumberton, North Carolina today. It has been awhile since I took a road trip.
In the morning I will continue the journey to Raleigh, North Carolina where I will get my foot evaluated.
Memories flood my mind this morning of that evening so long ago when I drove a Van into a tree. Rain was falling softly as I rounded the familiar curve an applied the brakes. They locked. It was a horrendous ending to the day. Several of my ribs were broken, my liver punctured, my heart bruised and my foot broken, extended from it’s position and laying to the side .
Gratitude wraps me as I thank God for walking with me each day and raising my tolerance of pain to a new level. It was a year after the accident before I could walk. I love my little foot! That’s right, it is little. I wear a size 5 shoe. More on this progress tomorrow afternoon!
Enjoy this day and worship.
